people we love.Roche Diagnostics acquired LumiraDx in 2024 for its
unique Point of Care diagnostics platform. You will provide
strategic and technical leadership related to LumiraDx core
technology and its application to molecular product development. We
look to innovative diagnostics which can shape the future of
healthcare and change lives.As a member of our Senior Scientific,
Assay Development team, you will be instrumental in supporting the
intergration and development of the LumiraDx molecular point of
care assay portfolio. Your expertise and ability to lead
independent technical review efforts to evaluate current status of
assay development will play a critical role in shaping the future
landscape of Point of Care testing.
- You will provide strategic and technical leadership related to
our core technology and its application to molecular product
development
- You will advise on strategic plan options for global regulatory
registration pathway for a newly developed product
- You will collaborate with cross functional partners to develop
clinical trial strategy for our products
- You will advise and support technology characterization efforts
related to our device, consumables, and reagents to support
extended molecular product menu/portfolio
- You will manage/teach/advise assay teams throughout the product
development process from concept to design transfer using current
Roche Quality Management processes
- You will provide solutions to highly complex, significant, and
unique issues; develop solutions based on in-depth technical
knowledge with full consideration of upstream and downstream
impact.
- You will capture and document important information as needed
related to technical evaluations
- You will be responsible for a team that may consist of multiple
cascading lines of direct and indirect reports and has significant
technical and organizational influence.
- You will foster desired professional behavior and drive to the
organization so as to deliver exceptional performance results for
the business.
- You will provide scientific and technical guidance, practical
industry experience, and oversight supporting R&D
projects.
- You may act in the role of a Leadership Functional
Representative as described in the Roche Leadership governance
process.
- You will ensure goals, deadlines, and budgets are met; you will
participate in company-wide initiatives as appointed.This is a US
based remote position.There are no relocation benefits to this
position.Who You Are:(Required)
- You have a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry (or
relevant field) with 20+ years of relevant industry experience
- You have demonstrated experience within the infectious disease
space; you have direct experience with diagnostic methods to detect
and diagnose infectious diseases in clinical settings
- You have demonstrated experience with FDA design control and
product development under controlled quality management process
conditions; you have demonstrated experience and expertise in
relevant area(s) to provide input to the design and implementation
of efforts that takes an idea from concept to implementation.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of medical diagnostics
industry, assay development, systems development, and general
product development; you have demonstrated knowledge of PCR and
amplification-based technologies and applications
- You have experience advising, mentoring, and managing technical
staff and teamsPreferred:
- You have experience working in Tuberculosis
- You can demonstrate a combination of scientific expertise,
strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- You possess exceptional people skills, communication skills,
and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- You have strong skills in writing technical reports and
verbally communicating technical content in oral presentations
- You have experience leadership skills in managing
multidisciplinary teams in a global, matrix environmentThe expected
salary range for this position is $105,560 - $328,120. Actual pay
will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic
location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A
discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and
